Bumble Bee Seafoods - Purchased of cans of Bumblebee Prime Fillet Solid White Albacore in water

When I open the cans I was surprised to find fragments of discards of tunafish no whole pieces of tuna, tuna similar to the one in a can of inexpensive chunk light tuna.( the fragmented discard ). There was no prime fillet solid white albacore in the cans.

I contacted bumblebee, the best I could do was leaving a message with their operators voice mail, for there was no operator response. There doesnt appear to be any customer service line.

I left a message for the operator requesting a call back do to the product concern. I havent received a call back and I believe Bumblebee should take more pride in their product, Shame on you Bumblebee.

Not one person acknowledge my concern regarding your inferior tuna. What good is customer service if you ignore one's concerns. Please you can do better than this.

Purchased 2 cans of Bumble Bee solid white albacore that was the solid white I always buy. Looked like regular standard tuna, strong fishy smell, way more water and tasted terrible. Produced in Vietnam. Exp date is 10/4/24. 12775SFASKP 16:51

User's recommendation: Don't buy bubble bee solid white albacore. It's regular old tuna. Plus their customer service is not available to you.

They sent me coupons to get more cans of crab meat that hopefully won't have any shells in it but the problem is the stores aren't carrying the crab meat anymore so I'm out a lot of money

Solid white prime albacore

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased 3 cans to make tuna salad sandwiches for a group of friends, I was expecting a very good tuna but was so disappointed when I opened the cans and saw the quality. I normally purchase Walmart Great Value solid white albacore, however this time I spent extra money to get what I thought would be a much nicer tuna. No, it wasn't even as good as Great Value brand tuna. I'm ashamed of you, each can cost approx. $1more and the quality was not what I expected.

We, ( my Attorney & I ) are now looking at a Court dates and preparing the papers to suit for gross negligence, as these irresponsible Companies refuse to settle or make any offers to settle.

Updated by user May 07, 2021

I am out $2500 in legal fees because this irresponsible Company and it's subsidiarity Clover Leaf Sea foods took 3 months to respond to me, and than offered mean insulting settlement.

Updated by user May 07, 2021

Clover Leaf Sea Foods, and Bumble Bee Sea Foods LLC, have refused to settle this claim, and shows total disregard for consumers injury due to their negligence.

Original review May 07, 2021
Just FYI:
Claim filed for a Bone in can of Flaked Tuna in Albacore, 3cm in length, against your Clover Leaf Sea Foods subsidiary. I have attempted to settle this action claim without taking to legal litigation, but your Company hires a failed mitigation firm with a poor business record of complaints to make a farce of an offer, both insulting and ridiculous.
Had it not been for the quick action in applying the Heimlich Maneuver, I would have chocked/suffocated to death.
As you have rejected my counter of payment settlement of $4,000.00 in pain and suffering damages, this matter will now be decided in Court, before a Judge and jury trial, complete with media coverage, and I will be looking at a lot more than the amount I asked for + legal cost (both sides).

The publicity alone will show the lack of compassion and total disregard you have for consumers' well being and confidence in your product, and what someone's life is worth to you and your Organization. What happened to me can be traced back to your Company's gross negligence that caused pain and suffering , physically and mentally to this Consumer.
So much for your article on October 04, 2016, Mr. Schindler on traceability, and consumer commitment:
"We know that today's consumers want to know where their food is coming from," explained Ron Schindler, President, Clover Leaf Seafoods.

"Trace My Catch provides that information in incredible detail. The level of transparency that we're offering is unique to our industry, and we couldn't be more proud to be sharing this information with our customers."
I have informed my Attorney of your ridiculous and insulting offer, and we are now looking to go to Court as soon as it is possible, as your "expert" mitigation firm, has refused my offer as settlement, and you have refused to settle.
